Background

Mr Li's picturesque farm spans 80 acres at an altitude of 1500 to 1700 MASL, with shade-providing trees like macadamia, fruit trees, and leguminous trees scattered among the coffee plants. Mr Li's Fuyan coffee consistently attracts high Q cup scores year on year and is a testament to the quality potential of this beautiful part of Yunnan. In addition to coffee, Mr Li produces about 7 tons of specialty-grade tea each year, a crop this region is also famous for.
For this lot, red cherries were floated in clean mountain spring water before undergoing a controlled, low oxygen dry-fermentation for 2 days. Finally, the cherries were sundried in thin layers on raised beds before undergoing dry milling.

This coffee comes to Australia by way of a partnership between Yunnan Coffee Traders and Old Quarter Coffee Merchants.
